We are looking for a Senior AI Engineer to join our team. Our client is undergoing a major shift in its insurance technology strategy, moving away from traditional infrastructure toward advanced, agent-driven AI solutions. This role puts you on a worldwide team dedicated to engineering intelligent platforms that streamline complicated insurance operations, allowing brokers to dedicate more energy to critical thinking and relationship building with clients.
Responsibilities
Pinpoint promising areas where AI can add value across different aspects of Insurance Broking work
Plan, construct, and roll out enterprise-ready AI platforms that simplify complex insurance operations
Create AI-enabled tools powered by LLMs, RAG, document handling, information extraction, categorization, and agent-oriented designs
Partner closely with brokers, underwriters, and operational teams to identify pain points and develop solutions that scale
Manage the complete lifecycle of AI products, covering everything from initial concepts and prototypes to launch, tracking, and ongoing refinement
Construct thorough evaluation mechanisms for AI systems, incorporating test coverage, monitoring, performance analysis, and hallucination identification
Champion quick-turnaround experimentation and push forward innovative practices rooted in modern AI engineering
Elevate operational performance, cut down processing timeframes, and strengthen business output through intelligent automation
Provide direction and support to other engineers, reinforcing effective methods for delivering trustworthy AI solutions
Explore and incorporate the latest AI innovations to tackle problems unique to the insurance field
Requirements
A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related area, or equivalent real-world experience
A minimum of 3 years of relevant work history in Software Engineering, AI/ML, Machine Learning, or similar fieldsStrong working knowledge of Python and TypeScript
Demonstrated success bringing AI-driven products from early-stage concept all the way to live deployment
Direct experience applying machine learning models and Large Language Models (LLMs) in real settings
Exposure to current software development methods, including CI/CD pipelines and containerized environments
Excellent analytical capabilities, sound judgment in problem-solving, and clear communication
Skill in translating technical material into terms that make sense for non-technical business audiences
Excellent English communication skills (B2 level or higher)
Nice to have
Familiarity with (Re)Insurance Underwriting Operations to deepen insight into industry-specific procedures
Awareness of Infrastructure as Code practices, especially as they relate to security, to support consistent and protected environment builds
Prior background within the Insurance field to inform and enrich AI solution planning
Direct experience with Monitoring and Observability solutions to ensure ongoing visibility into system performance post-launch
History of Technical Leadership, including directing teams and influencing the broader engineering vision
