Senior Back End Developer

Do you have what it takes to design and implement cutting-edge threat detection capabilities in a fully distributed cloud platform? At Lumu Technologies, we are looking for a skillful Backend Developer ready to tackle the toughest challenges in cybersecurity. You will play a critical role in building and scaling systems that help companies detect, analyze, and respond to cyber threats in real-time.

What You Will Be Doing?

As a Backend Developer at Lumu, you will have the unique opportunity to design, implement, and launch new threat detection algorithms that enhance our cybersecurity intelligence. You will be responsible for integrating these capabilities into our existing platform, ensuring seamless operation across current applications and legacy systems.

You will work closely with Product Management, Security Researchers, QA, CSM, and other teams to identify business needs and translate them into functional, high-performance software. Your work will involve developing large-scale distributed systems, optimizing performance, and ensuring software quality.

Required Skills:

3+ years of professional experience in backend development. Outstanding candidates with less experience will also be considered.

Strong proficiency in Python and best practices for scalable, high-performance backend systems.

Strong understanding of large-scale distributed system architecture and applications.

Experience implementing testing platforms and writing unit tests.

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues in a fast-paced

Nice to have:

Proficiency in Python linters such as Pylint and Pytype, and using Python type hints for better code quality and maintainability.

Experience with large-scale distributed systems, architectures, and applications.

Proficiency with non-relational databases such as MongoDB or Cassandra.

Good understanding of various cloud technologies.

Experience working with networking protocols.

Good understanding of various DevOps tools.
