BIM Coordinator

Job Description

Snapshot Employment Type: Indefinite-Term Contract

Work Setup: Onsite, Connecta 26, Colombia (Full time onsite during 3 months then hybrid)

Qualifications Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field

3-5 years of experience in BIM coordination, Virtual Design and Construction (VDC), or a related role

Technical Skills

Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC)/BIM 360, and Bluebeam

Comprehensive understanding of construction documentation, project delivery methods, construction workflows, and project coordination

Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve modeling issues

Demonstrated capacity to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines

Physical Requirements

Capability to sit or stand for extended periods

Readiness to occasionally lift items weighing up to 25 pounds

Competence in operating standard office equipment, including computers, phones, and copiers

Availability to work in an office-based environment on a standard Monday-to-Friday schedule, with potential hybrid arrangements

Comfort managing multiple project deliverables in a fast-paced, deadline-driven setting

Responsibilities Organize BIM workflows across architectural, structural, and mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) disciplines to ensure model consistency and integration.

Conduct clash detection and model coordination using Navisworks and Revit, documenting identified issues for resolution.

Update Navisworks Document (NWD) files and export Navisworks Cache (NWC) files regularly to reflect current model progress.

Distribute updated models and coordination files to relevant project stakeholders.

Publish models and supporting documentation in Procore for review and approval, ensuring version control and accessibility under senior management supervision.

Prepare and submit weekly reports summarizing recent subcontractor model uploads.

Share models on-screen and lead navigation during project reviews, providing visualizations and walkthroughs as needed.

Overlay two-dimensional deck penetration drawings and other BIM deliverables onto models to validate alignment and constructability.

Apply Reflected Ceiling Plan (RCP) overhead overlays to coordinate ceiling systems with MEP components and architectural finishes.

Provide technical support and training to project teams on BIM tools and standards.

Perform quality control reviews of model deliverables to ensure accuracy and compliance with project requirements.
