We are seeking a Senior Python Engineer to build and evolve web services that power financial technology workflows. You will design resilient APIs and systems, collaborate across global teams, and drive quality through strong testing practices.
Responsibilities Design backend services and APIs for financial technology platforms using Python and Flask
Build resilient systems that meet compliance, auditability, and operational requirements
Lead system design efforts across microservices, data models, and API contracts
Drive refactoring and redesign initiatives to improve critical financial systems
Implement automated tests and enforce quality gates through unit and integration testing
Deploy and operate services using Amazon Web Services and Docker-based workflows
Collaborate with global teams through code reviews, peer learning, and agile delivery
Integrate observability and monitoring practices to support reliable operations
Partner with stakeholders to translate financial domain needs into technical solutions
Requirements 3+ years of Python experience with Flask and related web frameworks
Cloud experience using Amazon Web Services
Containerization experience with Docker
Strong system design expertise across microservices, database modeling, and API design
Proven experience leading refactoring or redesign initiatives on critical systems
Strong test automation skills including unit tests and manual integration testing
Hands‑on experience delivering complex, high‑stakes applications in agile teams
Strong collaboration skills with code reviews and peer learning practices
Financial services domain knowledge including payments, wire transfers, reconciliations, or cash management
Strong communication skills to work effectively with distributed global teams
Upper-Intermediate English proficiency (B2, Upper-Intermediate)
Nice to have GitHub Actions experience for CI/CD pipelines
Jira to GitHub integration experience
Kubernetes experience for container orchestration
Redis experience for caching or messaging
Github Copilot experience to accelerate development workflows
