What's the opportunity?
The Vice President of Payments and Fraud is responsible for leading the development and execution of dLocal's payments and fraud strategy in emerging markets.
This includes overseeing all aspects of payment processing, from merchant onboarding to dispute resolution, as well as developing and implementing fraud prevention measures. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the payments and fraud landscape in emerging markets, as well as a proven track record of success in managing and growing payments businesses.
What will you be doing? The Vice President of Payments and Fraud will have a worldwide impact in all the different countries where dLocal is present.
Develop and execute dLocal's payments and fraud strategy in emerging markets
Oversee all aspects of payment processing, from merchant onboarding to dispute resolution
Develop and implement fraud prevention strategies for both buyers and sellers
Manage relationships with payment processors, banks and merchants
Work with the product and IT teams to develop and launch new products and features
Build a “world-class” ecosystem of payments and fraud
Optimize general payment conversion rate and reduce processors' rejections
Manage a multicultural team of more than 40 people in Latam, Europe, and China
What skills do you need? 8+ years of experience in payments or fraud management
4+ years of experience in emerging markets
Proven track record of success in managing and growing payments businesses
Deep understanding of the payments and fraud landscape in emerging markets
Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Experience with payment processors and banks in emerging markets
Experience with fraud prevention tools and techniques
Experience with data analysis and reporting
Fluent in English is required
Experience with Asian clients highly valued
Experience with project management would be desired
Fluent in Spanish and/or Portuguese are a plus
