ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Middle/Senior Python Integration Engineer, you’ll build and maintain scalable, high-quality integrations that enable smooth client onboarding and efficient product delivery. You’ll collaborate with Solution Architects and engineering teams to ensure reliability, automation, and technical consistency, while gaining hands‑on experience with APIs, Python scripting, and cloud‑based integration workflows in a fast‑growing, innovative environment.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Build, configure, connect, and maintain a high volume of integrations using Merge’s platform.

Write lightweight Python scripts and glue code for automation and data transformation.

Build and support APIs and integration endpoints.

Ensure technical consistency, scalability, and maintainability across integrations.

Collaborate with Solution Architects, Delivery Managers, and Merge’s internal engineering teams.

Document integration processes and best practices.

MUST HAVES

3+ years of professional experience with Python, with the ability to read and write clean, modular code.

Solid understanding of REST APIs and common integration patterns.

Strong experience building, testing, and debugging integrations using sandbox/test environments.

Experience working with third‑party APIs consumption and automation scripting.

Experience working with databases (SQL or NoSQL).

Familiarity with cloud platforms (preferably AWS).

Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate in distributed teams.

High sense of ownership and accountability.

Proven track record of attention to detail in QA and debugging.

Upper‑intermediate English level.

NICE TO HAVES

Understanding of AI, LLMs, tool‑calling, and prompt engineering concepts.

Experience with integration platforms, API management, or ETL tools.

Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.

Familiarity with webhooks, OAuth, and data mapping/transformation workflows.
