Qualifications

Required

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Information Management, Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field; an equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience may be considered

10+ years of progressive project management experience leading complex technology, software, infrastructure, systems implementation, and business transformation initiatives

Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects with competing priorities, diverse stakeholder groups, and demanding timelines

Demonstrated experience partnering with technical teams and business leaders to translate organizational objectives into actionable project outcomes

Extensive experience managing third-party vendors, implementation partners, contracts, project deliverables, and cross-functional dependencies

Strong proficiency in developing and managing project plans, budgets, schedules, risk assessments, issue logs, and executive-level status reports

Working knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle methodologies and experience applying Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid project delivery frameworks

Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Microsoft Planner, Smartsheet, Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, or comparable platforms

Excellent written communication, verbal communication, facilitation, organization, and stakeholder management skills

Demonstrated ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, make informed decisions, and address challenges and risks proactively

Proven ability to build strong client and stakeholder relationships and contribute effectively to high-performing teams

Preferred

Professional project management certification, such as Project Management Professional, PMI Agile Certified Practitioner, Certified ScrumMaster, PRINCE2, or an equivalent credential

Experience in property and casualty insurance, financial services, another highly regulated industry, or an organization with geographically dispersed operations

Hands-on experience supporting or delivering projects involving enterprise applications, enterprise resource planning systems, customer relationship management platforms, policy administration systems, claims management systems, data and analytics platforms, cloud transformation initiatives, cybersecurity programs, or system integrations

Working knowledge of business process improvement methodologies, organizational change management practices, data governance principles, and technology control frameworks

Experience supporting executive steering committees, governance boards, or formal project governance programs

Experience preparing status updates, decision materials, presentations, and executive-level communications

Responsibilities

Lead the end-to-end delivery of IT projects, from intake and scoping through implementation, transition, and post-project review

Develop, maintain, and govern project charters, schedules, budgets, resource plans, risk assessments, issue logs, and executive status reports

Collaborate with business leaders and stakeholders to establish objectives, define requirements, prioritize work, determine success criteria, and realize expected business benefits

Coordinate cross-functional teams comprising IT professionals, business partners, vendors, consultants, and third-party solution providers to ensure timely and effective execution

Identify, assess, mitigate, and monitor project risks, dependencies, scope changes, resource constraints, and other delivery obstacles

Manage project scope and change-control processes while ensuring stakeholders understand the effects of decisions on cost, schedule, quality, and resource allocation

Monitor project budgets, vendor contracts, invoices, and forecasted expenditures in partnership with IT and Finance leaders

Communicate project status, milestones, risks, key decisions, and recommended next steps clearly and concisely to executive leaders

Support the implementation of business applications, system integrations, data and reporting platforms, cybersecurity initiatives, infrastructure projects, cloud services, and end-user technologies

Lead organizational change and user-readiness initiatives, including stakeholder communication, training coordination, process documentation, and adoption measurement

Improve project management standards, methodologies, governance processes, templates, and portfolio-reporting capabilities

Conduct project closeout activities, including lessons-learned sessions and outcome assessments, to strengthen future project delivery

Establish trusted relationships with business and technology leaders by delivering value, maintaining transparency, and serving as a reliable project advisor

Implement effective project management disciplines that strengthen visibility, accountability, and governance across assigned initiatives

Deliver approved projects on time, within scope and budget, and in accordance with quality, business, and operational objectives

Improve the consistency and effectiveness of project planning, documentation, status reporting, risk management, and stakeholder communication

Enable informed and timely decision-making by communicating project status, risks, dependencies, trade-offs, and recommended actions

Drive successful solution adoption by delivering measurable operational improvements and sustainable business value beyond technical implementation
