Overview This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of NIR-YU. We are currently looking for a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer in Latin America. We are seeking a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join a fast-paced, collaborative team focused on building and maintaining scalable, secure cloud environments. In this role, you will design, deploy, and manage multi-cloud infrastructure, leveraging Kubernetes, AWS, GCP, and Terraform, while ensuring CI/CD pipelines and containerized applications operate smoothly. You will work closely with other engineers to troubleshoot complex issues, implement best practices, and improve system performance and reliability. This position offers the opportunity to grow technical expertise in a dynamic environment, while contributing directly to the reliability and efficiency of cloud operations.
Accountabilities
Maintain, monitor, and evolve cloud infrastructure across AWS and GCP using automation and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CloudFormation, Pulumi)
Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support agile software development and self-service deployments
Manage containerized applications using Kubernetes and collaborate on orchestration, scaling, and optimization
Participate in on-call rotations to respond to incidents promptly and reliably
Implement observability, logging, and monitoring solutions using tools like DataDog, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, and CloudWatch
Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to solve complex infrastructure and deployment problems
Continuously adopt best practices for system reliability, performance, and security
Requirements
4-6 years of experience in SRE, DevOps, or similar cloud infrastructure roles
Strong knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS and GCP
Hands-on experience with relational databases (Postgres, MySQL) and container orchestration (Kubernetes)
Familiarity with GitOps CI/CD tools (Harness, Argo, Flux, Jenkins)
Expertise in infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, Pulumi)
Experience with logging, monitoring, metrics collection, and observability tools
Ability to collaborate with engineers across time zones (primarily PST)
Nice-to-haves: programming/automation experience in languages like Python, Golang, Elixir, or Java; platform development experience; Kubernetes debugging skills; compliance experience (SOX, SOC2, ISO27001, PCI DSS); working knowledge of UNIX-based operating systems
Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
