About you

You bring to Applaudo the following competencies:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

5 years of experience in software testing and quality assurance.

Strong expertise in UI automation (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Cucumber, POM) and API automation (Postman, Rest Assured, Karate DSL).

Hands-on experience in mobile automation with Appium and other frameworks (Espresso, XCUITest, Detox).

Familiarity with DevOps/QAOps practices and CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, AWS).

Solid knowledge of SQL/NoSQL databases for test data management.

Exposure to cloud device farms (BrowserStack, Sauce Labs, etc.) and low-code tools (Katalon, TOSCA).

ISTQB CTFL and Appium Certified Developer.

Excellent problem-solving, collaborative mindset, and strong communication skills in English for direct client interaction.

English is a requirement, as you will be working directly with US-based clients.

Responsibilities

Plan, design, execute, and maintain manual and automated test scenarios.

Identify opportunities for test automation in web, API, and mobile applications.

Log and triage defects, retest fixes, and deliver clear reporting.

Collaborate with developers and QA analysts to define and execute test automation strategies.

Coordinate with project managers and stakeholders on test planning and execution.

Monitor test progress, ensure exit criteria are met, and maintain QA metrics.

Support the selection and integration of automation tools into CI/CD pipelines.

Qualifications

Knowledge of automation and agile methodologies (SCRUM). ISTQB certification is a plus (CFTL mentioned as a plus in the original).
