Senior Application Support Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Application Support Engineer to help ensure reliable operation of business-critical web applications across a complex environment. You will troubleshoot issues end-to-end, collaborate through ITSM processes, and improve monitoring and support practices.ResponsibilitiesResolve application incidents by performing end-to-end troubleshooting across web, application, and database layersAnalyze Java core application logs to identify root causes and recommend corrective actionsExecute advanced SQL queries to validate data, diagnose issues, and support investigationsFollow ITSM/ITIL practices to handle incidents, problems, and changes with clear documentationMonitor systems using Elastic and APM logs to detect anomalies and prevent recurrenceOperate and validate pre-built Jenkins pipelines to support deployments and routine operational tasksCollaborate in Jira and Confluence to track work, document runbooks, and share knowledgeSupport releases and on-call coverage across shifts, including evenings, weekends, and scheduled windowsCoordinate with cross-functional teams to restore service quickly and communicate status to clientsCapture and interpret diagnostic artifacts such as browser HAR files and SSL/HTTP traces when neededRequirements3+ years of application support experience in a medium-to-large ecosystemStrong Core Java Development experience for troubleshooting and log-based analysisStrong SQL skills with 3+ years of hands-on querying and problem investigationITSM process knowledge with practical incident, problem, and change management exposureWeb application architecture understanding across web/app/DB tiers and common network fundamentalsLog and monitoring experience with Elastic logs and APM toolingStrong communication skills for clear verbal and written updates and stakeholder coordinationUpper-Intermediate English proficiency (B2) for daily collaboration and documentationNice to haveWindows administration knowledge including IISVirtualization and containerization familiarityCI/CD principles understandingCloud exposure with managing applications in GCPSQL performance tuning experience with indexes, transactions, procedures, and functionsWe offerInternational projects with top brandsWork with global teams of highly skilled, diverse peersHealthcare benefitsEmployee financial programsPaid time off and sick leaveUpskilling, reskilling and certification coursesUnlimited access to the LinkedIn Learning library and 22,000+ coursesGlobal career opportunitiesVolunteer and community involvement opportunitiesEPAM Employee GroupsAward-winning culture recognized by Glassdoor, Newsweek and LinkedInEPAM is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
